So the fun stays safe
The key rules on the run
- Always ride sitting up. Head first is never a good idea – sitting you stay in control and brake more safely.
- Warm clothing and good footwear. Gloves, a hat or helmet and goggles belong to it – for adults and children alike.
- Never stop after a curve. Riders behind you will see you too late. Most accidents are rear-end collisions.
- If you stop, leave the track immediately. You are not alone out there – step to the side quickly.
- Dogs are not allowed on the runs. Please leave your four-legged friends at home.
- Mechanical brakes and plastic bobs are prohibited. Wooden sledges and toboggans are permitted.
- Adapt your speed. With fresh or wet snow, in the dark or when it’s busy, take it down a gear.
Emergency number 144. Please note the emergency call points along the route. In an emergency, secure the scene, give first aid and do not obstruct the rescue service.
